Think inside the box
The boxes are an essential part of the dasher board system as a whole. That is why the rulebook instructions regarding the measurements and locations are taken into account in the planning.
The planning and supplying of the boxes is always customer specific. The boxes are usually supplied with the same materials as the rink. The shielding, post and board element colours are usually the same as in the rink.
Box structures
Functional and user-oriented boxes significantly ease the activities of players and other staff both in game and training use. Our box solutions use materials and structures that facilitate their use and maintenance.
ICEFLOOR
Skate-resistant rubber floorboards are installed on top of the box floors. The ICEFLOOR floor is moisture resistant and suitable not only for boxes but also for dressing rooms. ICEFLOOR floor is available with a coin pattern or a smooth surface. The floor colour is dark grey.
COMPOGRID
A grid-structured box floor. Thanks to the grid structure, the floor is ventilated from below, so mould does not form on it. In addition, it is easy to modify the grid-structured box floor to, for example, make a passage for wires and cables.
Profile framed box walls
BOX WALLS
The frame structure of the box walls with a profile system. The frames are upholstered on both sides with polyethylene sheets and finished with an edge rail. The other side of the box wall is covered with removable PE sheets, which allows the sheets to be removed and the walls to be mounted to the ground. The colour scheme of the box walls is the same as in the rink.
BOX SHIELDING
The properties of boxes vary depending on the site. In the shielding of the boxes, the shielding and posts in the rink are adapted. A 90-degree angle is used in the corners of the boxes, or they can be realized with a curved shield and a curved corner element.
As the stands are immediately behind the boxes, a roof can be placed over the boxes to protect the players and the furniture. The box roof is made with special posts to which the shielding is attached. The post profile structure makes the roof rigid and keeps it straight.
